Eureka Hand-Held Vacuum, 71B Overview

Remove deeply embedded dirt from anywhere in your home or car. Ideal for cleaning stairs and auto upholstery, this hand vacuum cleans with the help of a revolving brushroll with Riser Visor, a stretch hose and attachments for getting into tight spaces. The onboard crevice tool gets into those places too small for the brushroll. Hand-held but very powerful, this Eureka model eliminates the hassle of lugging around a full-size vacuum for cleaning car upholstery, sofas, and carpeted stairs. A long 20-foot cord (which wraps for storage) provides good reach, as does the deluxe hose that stretches to three times its length. With the crevice tool on the end of the hose, this vacuum reaches into all kinds of tight places. And, with two motors, one to power the revolving brush and one for suction, the 5.5 amp vacuum cleans deeply.

One of Eureka's innovations is the Riser Visor, a clear plastic cover that stays down for cleaning horizontal surfaces and flips up so the revolving brush can reach the vertical carpet on stair risers. There's no bag to change, just a filter and clear plastic dust cup to shake out when necessary. --Ann Bieri Read more

Eureka 71B Hand Held Vacuum Review Tube. Duration : 2.20 Mins.

www.vacuumwizard.com The Eureka 71B hand held vacuum cleaner is a versatile hand vac and its cleaning power was especially evident on stairs. By flipping the riser visor down, you can use the machine vertically on stairs and upholstery. The hose disconnects, allowing you to easily clean edges. This Eureka handheld vacuum did a great job cleaning fine and medium particles Its versatile easily switching between flooring types. It did struggle a little bit with larger particles, but this was mostly because they had trouble fitting past the brushroll. We were disappointed with this machine's performance in cars. The Eureka 71B did wonderful on flat surfaces, but wasn't able to handle the contours. Additionally, the hose was unable to gather debris from tight areas. The Eureka 71B hand vacuum excelled at cleaning upholstery and had no difficulty with pet hair. With a water lift of seventy, this vacuum's suction is incredibly strong for a handheld. It also received good marks for being fairly moderate in the noise category. To empty the dust cup, you simply detach it, remove the filter and dump it. Overall, this is a pretty messy ordeal and the filter gets clogged easily requiring frequent cleaning. The filtration system on this machine is decent, but not impressive. Overall, we appreciated this machine for its strong suction and good performance on flooring, stairs, and upholstery.
